IB Exam Schedule May 2023. From May 2023, the IB Organization decides our exam dates. There are different departure times in the morning and afternoon. Therefore careful attention to the test period (war hat) is very important.

Another change, brought by the IB Organization – from May 2023: students will be required to stay in the laboratory full time; students cannot leave the exam early even if it is completed. IB Audition for Seniors will be scheduled: date/time TBD

NOTE: Students should not search, chat, or share exam content within 24 hours before or after the exam. Students are also required to report any complaints they may have regarding academic misconduct they become aware of. The IB Association at the American School of Tegucigalpa also recognizes the failure to report the famous story of academic dishonesty.

Academic policy of the IB Institute

Most IB exams will take place in the AST multipurpose room. There are some exceptions where students must test in the HS library.

Failure to sit the IB exam (which you must take) will result in withdrawal from the IB course for the second semester.

This student will not complete the course and will not receive any IB credit for the course. In addition, it will be mandatory to reimburse AST for the registration fee for the IB program and the fee to be deducted from the course – during this deadline. Other factors will be considered for serious medical conditions.

Note: If this happens, the student will need to provide a CERTIFICATION MEDICA. Students must arrive 20 minutes prior to the start of the sit-down exam to prepare, and attend the exam wearing their AST uniform.

For each test, students should bring at least one black or blue pen. No water will be given this year; students are allowed to have clear water bottles.

Students are advised to bring a sweater to each test; it is a large room and controlling the temperature for all students is not always easy. Before each property test, an email will be sent (whether you are assigned to the test or not) as a reminder to include any items you may need to bring. Some tests require more than just a pen. For exams that require the use of a calculator, please add a calculator to the “exam” section before the exam. IB Biology SL exams will continue in class until May 11 – rescheduled; this will be at the discretion of the teacher. IB Biology SL students will be released from school to study on May 10 and 11; Their IB Biology SL exam is on May 11 (afternoon).

The list of these students will be shared with teachers and they will resume classes on May 12. IB Psychology SL exam will continue in class until May 17 – rescheduled; this will be at the discretion of the teacher.
