IB mission statement


The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the IB works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

Scoring system

The IB diploma is graded out of a total score of 45. The total mark for each of the 6 subjects is 7, with 4 indicating a pass. TOK, EE, and CAS are graded for an additional of 3 additional points in total. Together, the 45 marks is computed accordingly: 7 x 6 subjects + 3 = 45
